| Summary Station Falls in Oconee County SC is located near
Historic Oconee Station, the site of an early blockhouse considered one
of the original settlers homes in Oconee County.
The hike to the falls is relatively easy and very rewarding. The hike is for the most part level except for a short descent at the beginning. The trail is well graded and relatively easy which makes it an ideal destination for all ages. To get to the trail head travel north on SC 11 approximately 5 miles north of the intersection of SC 28 and SC 11 near Walhalla, SC. Take a left onto Oconee Station road approximately 1.5 miles to the trail head parking area (the entrance to Oconee Station park is just before the trail head on the right). The trail descends initially to the station creek flood plain. It then crosses several small creeks along well maintained bridges and after approximately 1 mile the trail ends at the falls. |
